Objectives: -- Describe the roles of minority groups in WWII Activities: -- Distribute additional copies of the Navajo Code Talkers Fact Sheet and Sample Code worksheet to those who did not get them on Friday -- View Navajo Code Talkers Dictionary (https://www.history.navy.mil/research/library/online-reading-room/title-list-alphabetically/n/navajo-code-talker-dictionary.html) -- Discuss the contributions of minority groups -- Play historic video of Tuskegee Airmen -- Play Red Tails movie trailer about the Tuskegee Airmen -- Distribute Tuskegee Airman Fact Sheet; go over -- Work on Navajo Code Talkers and Tuskegee Airman page(s) in booklet. [Pages can be combined or made separately. They can be labeled "Navajo Code Talkers" and "Tuskegee Airmen" or "Contributions of Minority Groups"] Independent Learning: -- World War II booklets will be collected Friday.
